Wanda L. Angel

Wanda Angel passed away peacefully at her home in Brentwood, CA on February 5, 2015; she was 83. Wanda was born in Fremont, MO on February 24, 1931 to Oren and Buna Snider. The youngest of four children she grew up in Las Animas, CO. When she was 13 her father passed away and her mother moved the family to California where Wanda attended Hayward High School. After high school Wanda went to work for Southern Pacific Railroad in San Francisco where she met her soulmate and husband Stanley Angel. Because of Stan's job they lived in many places over the years but had always considered northern California home and in 1982 came back to the bay area for good. In 1983 Wanda and her son opened Angel's Florist in Concord. Family was everything to Wanda and running a family business with her children was one of her greatest joys. Wanda was proceeded in death by her husband of 49 years, Stanley Angel, her brother Kinard Snider and sister Iris Montgomery. She is survived by her 5 children Stanley, Karen, Annette, Beverly and Laura, her 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Helen and George Sears, her sister-in-law Barbara (Angel) Beck, brother-in-law, Albert Angel and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Wanda will be laid to rest beside her husband at Union Cemetery in Brentwood, CA on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 12:00pm.
