Richard Dean Garrison, 22 of Davis, California, passed away on May 16th, 2011. Dean was born on July 8, 1988 in Concord, California, the son of Richard Garrison and Susan Williams (Westberry). Dean was a 2007 graduate of Monte Vista High School, and attended Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz. Through the years Dean has touched the lives of many people. He was generous, kindhearted, and a natural people person. Everywhere Dean went he made a friend; each person had their own unique relationship with him. But, the most notable thing about Dean was his humor. He loved to joke and he thrived on laughter. Dean enjoyed most when the people around him were having a good time. Dean had dreams of accomplishments. He was loyal and had a sense of integrity. Maybe not always making the right decisions, but reflecting on what was right and wrong. Dean enjoyed his time playing football for the Monte Vista Mustangs, as he did playing soccer, and baseball. Dean loved the outdoors; hunting with his Father in Desolation Wilderness, Snow Mountain, and Stoneyford. Dean loved camping on the Carson River, and weekend fishing trips with his family on the on the San Joaquin Delta. Dean belonged to the Tri-Valley Quarter Midget Car club in Livermore. Dean traveled to Rio Linda, Sacramento and Las Vegas to race. Dean?s mother was his handler on the track. He was an aggressive driver and it wasn?t unusual for him to destroy multiple axles during a race. Dean loved to paintball with his step brothers, Andrew and Matthew, and Kyle and Joel. Dean?s travels took him on a cruise to Mexico, trips to Las Vegas, Hawaii and Oregon. He loved water rafting, working on his jeep and 4 wheeling. Dean loved the time he spent with his girl friend Samantha. The simple things they loved were traveling, walking the dogs on the beach, watching movies, sharing time with friends and family, laughing, and crying, and living life to the fullest. Dean?s nick name was ?Tootie? because he loved and thought it was funny to ?run his rear? aka fart. Dean is survived by his mother Susan Westberry and stepfather Dave Westberry, father Richard Garrison and stepmother Cherice Garrison, sister Richan Dillon and her husband James Dillon, nephews James and Jayden Dillon, stepbrothers Joel and Kyle Westberry, Andrew and Matthew Roth, and his loving girlfriend for many years Samantha Davidson. He also leaves behind his grandparents Billie Williams, Charles and Diana Garrison, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Proceeded in death by his grandfather Harvey Williams.
