Raymond J. Naughtin

–

Pleasant Hill, California

Raymond "Buck" Naughtin, age 62, of Danville, California, passed away at home on
November 28, 2025, after a brave battle with cancer.

He is survived by his life partner, Denise Lacroix, and her daughter, Olivia Amsden, who
brought great joy to his life. Ray is also survived by his loving mother, Marilyn (Wirth)
Naughtin; his sisters, Lee Janny, Cathy Naughtin, and Meg (Rocco) Bonello; his
nephews, Sam (Kati) Janny, Jake (Siara) Janny, and Bruno Bonello. He was preceded
in death by his father, Raymond Naughtin Sr., and furry friends Peso, Joey and Buddy.
Ray's three younger sisters will always be grateful for his guidance after their father's
untimely passing.

Ray was born in Milwaukee and grew up in Oconomowoc, WI where he spent many
summers sailing and waterskiing with friends. He graduated from the University of
Wisconsin-Whitewater and later earned his MBA from the University of
Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He brought his intelligence and midwestern work ethic to the
San Francisco Bay Area where he became a successful tax accountant for a number of
international companies.

He was a lifelong traveler and was especially passionate about celebrating the legacy of
his Uncle Frank Naughton's heroic D-Day actions in Normandy with his cousins. He was
very athletic and could always be found on the tennis court, biking, or playing
basketball. He was also known for his legendary cocktails and delicious back yard
cookouts.

Ray was a good man. He will be remembered for his warm heart, quick wit, steady
presence, and the deep love and loyalty he had for those he held close. He will be
profoundly missed by many lifelong friends, family, and all who had the privilege of
knowing him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In Ray's memory, the family kindly
requests donations to the UCSF Foundation and the Brain Tumor Center.
