Mike De Leon

Mike grew up in LA. In 1977 after graduating USC and accepting a position at Shell, he moved to Concord. Following his time at Shell, Mike worked at Tosco Refinery as an environmental engineer for 30 years. Mike was a faithful Christian and attended Fair Oaks Church for 40 years. He was very active in the fellowship, serving as Elder, Deacon, and Technical Director of Sound. Those that knew him well would fondly refer to him as Mister, and in some cases, Captain Safety. Mike's love for science allowed him to find joy in everything, from engineering designs for woodworking to experimenting with the chemical reactions of baking. A pennywise shopper, he could often be found perusing the aisles of the local Costco where he could reap savings in bulk fashion. In all things Mike had an unwavering loving heart: for his work, church, family, friends, and Savior. He will be greatly missed.

Grandchildren: Malia (2 weeks), Anuhea (1 yr), Lorelai (2 yr), Leila (2 yr), Josh (4 yr), Hunter (4 yr), Kayana (5 yr), Grant (6 yr), Michael (7 yr), Rachael (8 yr), Marshall (9 yr), Brennen (11yr)
