John W Ballou

Born in Virginia February 4, 1947 to William and Evelyn Ballou, John passed away August 28, 2023. Having received a degree in both City and Regional Planning and Architecture, John was also a gifted artist. He worked in many media, including sculpting in metal, etching, drawing and painting. John resided in Benicia, Ca. where he had served on the board of the Arts Council. John was an entrepreneur, a visionary, and a wildlife conservationist, the latter being the subject matter of many of his artistic creations. John is survived by his two nephews, Jim Randle and Baron Wilhelm and five grandnieces. Celebration of Life and reception to be held Friday, September 15 at 11:30 am at Graceway Community Church 1315 Military West in Benicia.
