Joanne Elizabeth Dunne

Joanne E. Dunne passed away peacefully at home in Lafayette, California on Friday, March 20, 2015 and is now reunited with her husband, John C. Dunne. She was born a fourth generation CA native in Taft, CA to Everett and Esther Epperson of Oakland, CA. She attended Fremont and Oakland HS and SF State. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her two sons Craig Carson (Paulette) of Brentwood, CA and Scott Carson (Debbie) and her grandchildren; Nathanial and Kimberly of Capitola, CA. along with her former husband, Donald Carson of Rodeo, CA. She is also survived by her step-children Chris Dunn (Sharon), Cindy Gallagher, Leslie Schratz, Brian Dunn, Susan Dunn, Laura Perkins (John), Michael Dunn (Carol), Cheryl Marchand (deceased) and many grandchildren/great grandchildren.

Joanne will be remembered for her active involvement in many community service organizations. She was a member of the Jr. Women's Club in Walnut Creek becoming President at the Club, District and State level. She founded the Hill and Dale Branch of the Jr. WC in El Cerrito/Richmond CA. She was the Executive Director for March of Dimes for CCC and active in the Easter Seal Society. Her passion for Real Estate propelled her to an illustrious career becoming one of the top agents in the area. Her career included working with Coldwell Banker, Pacific Union, Intero and J. Rockcliff. Joanne will be missed by all who knew her.

Private internment will be at Oakland's Mountain View Cemetery.
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life on Sat., June 27th at 11:00 a.m. in Lafayette Veteran's Memorial Center on 3780 Mt. Diablo Blvd. Lafayette, CA.
