Jerrold Kenneth Shapiro

Jerrold "Jerry" Kenneth Shapiro, 73, of Antioch, California, passed away on April 9, 2024. Born in Brooklyn, New York, on August 25, 1950, Jerry lived a vibrant life filled with love and connections. He retired in 2022 from Crossmark Sales and Marketing after dedicating most of his career to various sales and marketing positions.

Jerry was a man who cherished life and embraced every opportunity to meet and converse with people wherever he went. He was known for his kindness and commitment to doing good deeds ("mitzvah"). He found joy in playing the clarinet since 4th grade and was an active member of the Brentwood Community Band. His other hobbies included gardening, researching his family history on Ancestry, traveling, walking his dogs, photography, and passionately supporting his favorite sports teams - the SF 49ers, SF Giants, Golden State Warriors, and Manchester United.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Marsha Shapiro, his daughter Shayna Shapiro, his sons Joel and Nathan Shapiro, his brother Leonard Shapiro, his brother and sister-in-law Marshall (Jackie) Shapiro, his dogs Luna and Stanley, his grand dog Marley, as well as many cousins, in-laws, friends, and neighbors. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Freda and Ben Shapiro.

A Celebration of Life will be planned in the summer to honor Jerry's memory. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Brentwood Music Foundation at 3130 Balfour Road, Ste D #197, Brentwood, CA 94513. Jerry will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and his legacy of kindness and passion will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
