James Joseph Brahney

Jim Brahney passed away peacefully on 2/9/2017 at home in the presence of his loving wife, Chris and amazing children Alex (Biri), Shannon (Omar) and Jimmy (Clohe) after a courageous battle with Lung cancer. He is now at peace with his beloved parents, Ed and Anne Brahney and sister Colleen.
Jim is survived by his loving family and friends; his 6 beautiful grandchildren, a very special mother-in-law, 8 sisters, 5 brothers and many wonderful nieces and nephews, and very special friends. He always enjoyed sharing life with all of them.
He was a humorist and storyteller, devoted family man and loyal friend, hardworking businessman, sports and outdoor enthusiast and sweets fanatic.
He will be deeply missed by anyone who knew him. We will honor Jim and celebrate his life on 03/25/17 at 11:00am at the Lafayette Library in the Community Hall. We encourage all to wear a sports shirt/hat representing Jim's favorite teams; S.F. 49ers, Giants, Warriors. Share a thought in our memory book; any story is a treasure for the family.
