Harold Oliver

Harold Glen Oliver entered his final resting place on February 17th surrounded by his family and friends. Harold was born in Oklahoma on November 5, 1925 and grew up in Hanford, California. Harold joined the Navy in 1943 and served for 3 years. Harold found the girl of his dreams and married Norma Linthicum on August 30, 1944. He very happily would tell you he spent 67 wonderful years with the love of his life and he had three children, Jerry, Rick, and Marla. Harold loved to camp, go to church, and be of service to people. He loved to watch baseball and listen to Southern Gospel music. He was a member of Jubilee Christian Center for 55 years and served in many roles of leadership. Harold worked as an electrician at Louisiana Pacific for 32 years and retired in 1985. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Bessie Oliver, brothers, Dempsey, Olin, and Ellis, and his beloved son Rick. He is survived by his wife Norma, son Jerry, and daughter Marla. Also, 4 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many more family and friends. The celebration of his life will be at Jubilee Christian Center on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 12:00p.m. at 11 Texas St. in Antioch. The viewing will be Tuesday, February 21st from 5-8p.m. at Crosspoint Church 101 W. 9th St Antioch.
