Harold Bean

Harold Wayne Bean, died April 2, 2009 after a long battle with cancer. Born Feb 12, 1931 in Clarksville, Arkansas to Fern and John Bean. He was the eldest of four sons. He served 7 years in the Navy and retired from Johns Manville after working 34 years. Know affectionately as ?Papa?, he was a joy to all that knew him. He was an avid A?s fan and an active member of the Bethel Island Lions Club for 26 years, serving as President, 1995-96. Surviving are his wife Allene Bean; sons, Wayne Bean, James Stephenson Sr. and his wife; brother, Jim Bean; cousin, Ricky John Casey; Aunt, Mildred Johnson; sister-in?law, Ann Bean and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorial services TBA. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
