Gregory Kyle Hammond

Gregory Kyle Hammond, aged 53, passed away unexpectedly on September 29, 2025 in Acampo, Ca.

Greg was born on August 19, 1972 in Bakersfield, California to Ella Louise (Rawlings) and William Edward Hammond. He was the youngest of 3 children. He is survived by his son Hunter Hammond and daughter Logan Hammond, his mother Ella Louise Hammond and brother Cecil Hammond. He was preceded in death by his brother Brett Hammond and father William Edward Hammond.

Greg grew up in Bakersfield and attended elementary, junior high and high school in Bakersfield. He graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1990. He obtained an AS degree in recording engineering at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida.

Greg had an ear for recording since he was a teen. He worked in the recording engineering field including Presentation Services at several hotels including Double Tree Hotel in Bakersfield. He also worked as a contractor for the Naval Warfare base in Southern California. Greg volunteered his time with the churches he attended by operating the sound system. Greg lived in Menifee, Ca for 14 years before relocating to be closer in location to his children who he loved immensely. He lived in Stockton, Ca and attended Providence Reformed Church where he made numerous friends he called family.

A service will be held celebrating Greg's life on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 11am at Providence Reformed Church located at 245 E. Vine St., Lodi, Ca.
