Douglas Hiram Brown

Douglas Brown of Concord, CA, passed away peacefully Sunday morning in his sleep, at the age of 81.
Douglas was born in Olustee, OK, as the oldest son and second child to Charles Morgan and Lorene Margie (Gorham) Brown in 1933. He moved to California with his parents and his siblings when he was a child and grew up in Fellows, CA. After finishing high school and serving in the Army, Douglas worked for 35 years at Chevron Corporation and retired in 1990. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, walking, playing golf, playing the occasional slot machine, and watching football.
Douglas is survived by his wife of 51 years, Charlotte, of Concord, his four children, (David) and Judy White of Manteca, Richard Brown of Danville, Robert and (Karen) Brown of Pleasanton, Jennifer Brown of Concord, brothers Wayne Brown of Taft and Gary Brown of Bakersfield, 8 grandchildren, Russell, Danielle, Gabrielle, Erica, Alicia, Parker, Austin, and Kamryn, and 4 great-grandchildren Melanie, Roxanne, Nolan, and Felicity.
