Dino Roberto Mora

–

Pleasant Hill, California

Dino Roberto Mora died on Sunday July 19th, 2015 at his home in Crockett, CA surrounded by loving family. He was 51 years old and departed this earthly life after more than a year of looking cancer in the face and fighting it on his own terms. Dino has left a legacy of love as a wonderful daddy, supportive and loving husband, a caring and protective brother, a proud uncle, and a close friend to many. He was an example of all that that is good with the world, to all that he encountered on a daily basis. The warm and generous way that he lived his life, will remain in the hearts of all that he touched. Throughout his life, Dino possessed a soul that was older than his years. He believed in being honest, respectful, hard working, and doing things right. While having the love of many was the most important to him, Dino also accomplished much more in his short life. Dino was born and raised in Richmond, CA. As a boy, he played and worked by his father's side at the Richmond Country Club and thus became an avid golfer. He worked as a teen at a local hardware store, (Pastime Hardware in El Cerrito) where he learned everything he could about every item in the store. He attended San Diego State University, and after his father's death in 1987, he successfully took over the family business, Granter Jewelry and Loan. He eventually sold the pawn shop and ventured out as an independent diamond and jewelry wholesaler. He was creative, ambitious, and fair in this area of his life. Dino then pursued other creative interests and became a contractor. He helped design and build two of his own homes. These homes were built not only to code, but also built beautifully to perfection. He also worked part time at the Olympic Club golf course where he would enjoy watching players share his passion for golf. Most recently, Dino worked as a Trade Manager for a business trade organization in Oakland. Dino leaves behind his beautiful and loving wife Carolyn and his energetic, bright young son Dylan. He is also survived by his sisters Regina and Rhonda and a nephew Jayson. Dino is preceded in death by his father Stan and mother Diane. A Celebration of love and the life of Dino will be held at the Richmond Country Club in Richmond on August 30th, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
