Obituary for David

David (Dave) L Hohler Jr Resident of Oakley Dave Hohler passed away peacefully after a battle with esophageal cancer on July 1, 2010 at the age of 44. Dave was born at the Naval Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He spent his younger years in Mira Mesa, CA, La Jolla, CA and graduated from Vintage High School in Napa, CA. Dave was the General Manager of Petco in Brentwood. He loved animals, enjoyed riding his Harley and had a passion for photography. Dave is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jill; mother Marian Peled; 96 year old grandfather George Parks; uncle and aunt Bill and Nora Parks; cousins Adam, Amy and Allison; mother and father-in-law Al and Marlene Hightower; sisters and brothers-in-law Debi and Ben Johnson, Mark and Star Hightower; nephews Robert and Stuart Jr. Mahler. A memorial service to celebrate his life is scheduled for 2pm on Saturday, July 10th, 2010 at the Community Presbyterian Church, 200 E Leland Rd, Pittsburg, CA. Donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
