Pleasant Hill, California

Blanca Dahlia Gutierrez Wikstrom was born on January 26, 1938 in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico to the union of Samuel C. Gutierrez, born in Miami, Arizona and B Julia Gutierrez, born in Navojoa, Sonora. Blanca Wikstrom received her formal education at Miami High School in Miami, Arizona. She furthered her education at Lamsons Business College in Phoenix, Arizona. Blanca accepted Christ as her Savior at a very early age and was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church where she was the pianist and organist. Blanca Gutierrez was united in holy matrimony with Arnold Wikstrom on December 29, 1963 in Miami, Arizona. Their union was blessed with three children. She was employed by Signet Testing Labs as an Executive Secretary for 10 years until retirement. Blanca found true joy in glorifying God through her music and played the piano for various church activities. Blanca Dahlia Wikstrom departed this life on September 6, 2009. After a very short battle with cancer, she won the victory and is home with our Lord Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her son, Arnold Samuel Wikstrom; her parents, Samuel and Julia Gutierrez; and sister, Maria Isabel Vega. She leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Arnold Wikstrom; daughter, Rhonda Wikstrom; son, Timothy Wikstrom; grandchildren, Gabriel Timothy Kindred, Hannah Davis, Andrew Wikstrom, and Abigail Wikstrom; three brothers, Gilberto Gutierrez (Lucille), Arnolda Gutierrez (Belen), Alfredo Gutierrez (Rosa), and a host of nieces, nephews, as well as numerous other relatives and friends. A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held Monday, Sept. 14, at 2pm at First Southern Baptist Church, 15503 Usher St., San Lorenzo. The 23rd Psalm The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Acknowledgement Perhaps you sent a lovely card, or sat quietly in a chair; Perhaps you sent a floral piece, if so, we saw it there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, that any friend could say. Perhaps you were not there at all; just thought of us that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you so much whatever the part.
