Barbara Seibert. A long-time resident of Piedmont and Oakland, passed away in bed at home on July 5th, 2023 with dementia after a long illness. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Richard W. Seibert, Jr., her loving son Richard W. Seibert III of Berkeley, her sister-in-law Barbara S. Hand of La Jolla, and several nieces and a nephew, mostly in the Philadelphia area. Barbara was predeceased by her father William Johnston, her mother Clare Flowers Johnston, and her sister Elaine J Gallagher
Barbara was a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, and continued to work for the university for some time after graduation; she also volunteered her time as a docent at the Oakland Museum. The Seibert family would like to thank her devoted caregiver, Lakwaila Jenkins, whose loving care made it possible for Barbara to remain in her own home throughout her illness.
